My good friend told me that I should not write this blog - I asked him why? he said you are touching a sensitive issue and friends in your facebook may get annoyed about what you write - I replied then they are not FRIENDS - as a friend irrespective of his caste, religion , sex and creed will continue to love, advise , stand with me - whether I write this Blog or not.
Yes, to some extent agree - issue is really sensitive - born as a Hindu Brahmin in Tamilnadu - the so called Forward Caste - came to know recently - that we colonised Tamilnadu on a whole - Joke of the year 2012)), state where u have streets, named after caste leaders and even name of schools and colleges - even public transport corporations carried caste leaders name - Government Stopped it only when a dozen buses were burnt(( A shame - yes a shame, as I came to know today that in Tamilnadu we have 142 backward castes and another 110 most backward castes - cant understand the word MOST backward??? does it mean that when they buy a ticket in train or bus they will occupy the back seat or travel standing?? The Great Dravidian Movement - which came to power in my most beloved land - Tamil Nadu - Land of great writers, thinkers and leaders. The Movement Emphasized a fact to come to power - We are Dravidians - (all those who are non-brahmins) - Brahmins are Aryans they are from north and are stranges in Tamil Land - but the leaders of Dravidian Movement forgot - that great works in Tamil Literature and the Love for Tamil Language were contributed by Tamil Brahmins also along with others - who associated themselves as TAMILS.
Ofcourse the Dravidian Movement came to power in 1967 after defeating Indian National Congress (please dont confuse with Congress (I) - a party for me personally-which was never born) based on this caste politics - and later they themselves became hostages of thier caste politics - as if you want to come to power - you ask a person from this or that caste to contest in that village or constituency - where they are majority - by which they mean that - if he wins he will do good for his own caste and not for others,,,,,he will buy land - construct factories where only his caste people will work - but the most interesting is - in next elections if opposition party came to power - they follow the same method - so ultimately we end up doing nothing and my state nd motherland stagnates......this caste or so called reservation is everywhere in Tamilnadu, education, employment , government service-luckliy has not reached hospitals - So we all in Tamiladu love our land, language - her traditions and life style - but.............we all know that we have a problem ....we talk about it.....write about it .......but we are not able to find a solution and I doubt we can.....UNFORTUNATELY......
